Our group focused on the importance of developing young people through education, promoting health, protecting our environment as well as conserving our natural resources, and being energy efficient as what will lead to greater equality, energy security, sustainability, and prosperity in our kingdom. Education is particularly important for us young people because if we have knowledge, it will help open doors to economic opportunities and we will be able to communicate and develop new innovations, and this will result in prosperity through sustainable economic growth.

This interesting to us because we never experience severe flooding, so we never knew how damaging floods could be. Here in Hudson we have a good school system, actually we are building a new middle school! What are the schools like in your community?

I like how you turned one thing into another!! Great way to tell a story. Is there renewable and nonrenewable resources problems in Thailand?

  3. November 22, 2011

It is really interesting how you relate education to variety of things, such as tourism, health and energy. I really enjoyed viewing pictures and reading its captions.

We very much agree with the ideas presented in your project. We also have flooding although not as bad as the recent flood in Thailand. We must realize that what we do to the environment makes flooding worse. So do you have any ideas for solving this problem?

Great idea, guys! Hopefully, everything can be delivered and achieved. How do you save gas and oil consumption?

It’s true that education is important for every individual and it’s also important for a nation. By educating its people, a nation will develop and progress so that it can become a country that is high achieving and prosperous.

Thailand and Indonesia have many things in common. We need to improve education and develop our human capacity so that our countries will improve. Thank you for sharing your ideas.

I’m happy to see people caring so much about education, economy and physical health. It is hard to avoid many disaster in a region that gets hit a lot.

I also agree that a good education is key to future success, and it was interesting to see how many benefits there are with a proper education among a nation.

I was surprised that you had a lot of students in one room to learn one class. In our town we have about 15 kids in a class.

I was interested to learn about what you think your country’s needs. It is interesting that you think more tourists will improve your economy.

It is wonderful that education opens up choices for women in the economic world. I am wondering, how many days you go to school in a week? And how long do you go to school every day?

It was interesting to learn that your physical activities are the same as ours in America. Also it is strange that there are floods where you guys live because there was a hurricane that happened a couple of years ago in the state of Louisiana.

Thailand and America seem to have a little in common. Your education seems to be more advance because your pictures of solar panels are cool and look scientific.

    We learned about this.

[A question from AsiaPacificEd Crossings: By “this,” do you mean the recent flood in Thailand? As some of our readers may know, from late July through November 2011, Thailand experienced the worst flooding in more than 50 years. Floodwaters swamped entire towns, and over 12.8 million people in 58 out of Thailand’s 76 provinces were affected. Nearly 600 people died. By the World Bank’s estimate, Thailand’s 2011 flood ranks as the world’s 4th costliest disaster (after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan, the 1995 earthquake in Kobe, Japan, and Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans in 2005). Economic losses are estimated to be 1,440 billion baht (or $45 billion USD).
